Life to Legacy will assign an ISBN, or International Standard Book Number and the bar code to your book. The ISBN is a 10 and 13 digit number that uniquely identifies books and book-like products published internationally. The ISBN is a numeric code (specific to both the publisher and edition) that identifies a book, like a fingerprint. In the past, ISBNs were ten digits, but as of January 1, 2007, the book industry transitioned to a thirteen digit ISBN format. Each ISBN is composed of four parts: the group or country identifier, the publisher identifier, the title identifier and the check digit.
